Be Kind.

We have more in common than we have in conflict.

Update

Thanks neighbors for supporting this kindness project. What a pleasure to see signs popping up and hear from so many folks!

If you'd like a yard sign, email sign@becalmbekind.com. They're $25 plus shipping if you're not local (we just get them printed--we're not a business).  The latest batch just says "Be Kind," without a year, because our need for kindness is perennial.

This time is difficult and stressful. Some problems seem overwhelming. We seem to disagree about many things.

Social media, politics, and the news all profit by keeping us angry or complacent. It's easy to feel frustrated, exhausted, or hopeless.

Why don't "they" listen? Why don't "they" agree? What am I supposed to do about big problems? The economy, the virus, the next election. It seems...overwhelming.

But, we can do a little to help our neighbors. Starting with kindness.

Respect your neighbors, even when they disagree (or annoy).

Discuss with your neighbors. Find something you can agree on, and discuss that. Or just say, "Hello."

Support your neighbors, even if just a little. Something easy for you might be difficult for them (and vice versa). A kind word doesn't cost anything, but could make someone's day a little easier.

Just, be kind.

(Do your research and vote, maybe? But this site is not about politics).

Thank you,

Your Neighbors at BeCalmBeKind.com.
